Een poosje geleden ging ik naar de launch party van de Casio G-shock pop-up store in Amsterdam. (Nog niet gelezen? Klik!) Ik was meteen verliefd op al de G-shock horloges. Door hun robuuste karakter met allerlei verschillende timers, knopjes en klokjes zien ze er ontzettend vet uit. Ik heb nog overwogen om er zelf ook een aan te schaffen, maar al gauw kwam ik tot de conclusie dat het toch net iets te mannelijk oogt om mijn ranke polsjes. Maar wisten jullie dat Casio ook een speciale lijn voor vrouwen heeft? Maak kennis met Baby-G!
ENGLISH: Somewhere in June, before the summer holidays, I went to the launch party of the Casio G-shock pop-up store in Amsterdam. (Didn't read about that yet? Click!) I fell immediately in love with all those G-shock watches. Because of their robust character with all different kinds of timers, buttons and clocks they look insanely cool. I've even considered buying one myself, but then I realised that they look a bit too manly for my slender wrists. But did you know that Casio also has a special product line for women? Meet Baby-G!
Bepaalde eigenschappen van de mannelijke G-shocks vind je ook terug in de Baby-G's. Denk aan het digitale uurwerk, duizend knopjes en klokjes. Ze zijn ook stuk voor stuk shock & water resistant. Ben jij dus een avontuurlijke chick die houdt van extreme sports als surfen, diepzeeduiken en snowboarden? Dan is dit wellicht voor jou. Zelf ben ik helemaal niet zo'n extreme sports fanaat, maar stiekem vind ik de Baby-G's er wel ontzettend gaaf uitzien. Ben met name fan het lichtroze exemplaar links-boven. Door het design oogt 'ie erg stoer, maar het babyroze laat 'm er tegelijkertijd ook cute uitzien. Wanna have!
ENGLISH: You can really recognize some characteristics of the male G-shocks in the Baby-G's. Think of the digital clock and one thousand buttons, timers and small clocks. Plus they are all shock & water resistant, just like their big brother. Are you an adventurous chick that likes extreme sports like surfing, scubadiving and snowboarding? Then this is definitely something for you. I'm not that much into extreme sports myself, but secretly I think the Baby-G's still look insanely cool. I especially like the baby pink one on the left. Because of it's design it looks pretty sturdy, but because of the pink colour it looks cute at the same time. Wanna have!
