Een tijdje geleden was het kermis in Maastricht. Nu ben ik zelf nooit echt zo'n kermisganger geweest toen ik jonger was, maar op de een of andere manier vind ik het nu des te leuker: suikerspinnen, oliebollen en achtbanen die ik stiekem toch net iets té spannend vind voor mijn iemand van mijn leeftijd. Een attractie die voor mij altijd magisch blijft is de draaimolen. Al is het alleen maar omdat het zo'n nostalgisch gevoel bij me oproept. Toen ik op een van de paarden zat en het carrousel begon te draaien - oeps! - wist ik wel meteen weer waarom ik eigenlijk nooit meer op een draaimolen zit. Heel erg spannend is het niet... Maar goed, dat even terzijde. ;)
ENGLISH: A couple of weeks ago there was a fair on the Vrijthof in Maastricht. I've never really been such a "funfair goer" when I was younger, but somehow I like it so much the more right now: cotton candy, donuts and rollercoasters that I find just a little too scary for someone from my age. One ride that will always stay magic for me is the carrousel. If it is just this nostalgic feeling that I get when looking at it. However, when I sat on one of the horses and the carrousel suddenly started spinning - whoops! - I immediately remembered why I'm actually never on a carrousel anymore. It's not THAT exciting... But well, that's just a tiny detail. ;)
