Ik herinner het me nog heel goed. Het is nu bijna zo'n twee weken geleden. Ik zat wat management artikelen te lezen voor m'n examens, toen plots de deurbel ging: de DHL man! En hij had een pakketje voor me bij! Stiekem wist ik al lang wat er in zat, maar toch was ik ontzettend benieuwd... In dat pakje zat namelijk de nieuwe Samsung Galaxy Note III, opvolger van - ra ra ra - de Note II. Ik heb inmiddels genoeg tijd gehad 'm uitgebreid uit te testen en ga vandaag m'n ervaring met jullie delen!
ENGLISH: I can still remember the moment. Two weeks ago. I was reading some management articles for my exams, till the doorbell suddenly rang: the DHL man! And he had a package for me! Secretly I already knew what was in there, but I was still super curious... In the package was the new Samsung Galaxy Note III, the successor of - ra ra ra - the Note II. Meanwhile I've had enough time to test the device, so today I'd like to share my experiences with you guys!
Zelf had ik de Note II al, dus was stiekem wel erg benieuwd wat er nou zo anders zou zijn aan zijn kleine broer. Toen ik de verpakking opende viel één ding me meteen op: de achterkant van de telefoon. OMG. Je kunt het op de tweede foto zien, maar in het echt ziet het er nog veel gaver uit. De achterkant heeft namelijk een soort van leatherlook. Vind het er ontzettend chique en professioneel uitzien. Zo mooi dat ik zelfs overweeg om geen hoesje rond m'n telefoon te doen. What a trade-off!
Ik ben altijd super tevreden geweest met mijn vorige Note. Zowel wat de grootte van het beeldscherm, het besturingssysteem en de mogelijkheden betreft. Ik was dan ook positief verrast toen ik zag dat er aan het besturingssysteem niet zoveel veranderd was. Zo was het heel makkelijk om me aan te passen aan m'n nieuwe speeltje. Ik vind het ook altijd zo leuk dat wanneer je het toestel ontgrendelt er "watercirkels" verschijnen, die je achtergrond blurry maken. Ben blij dat die feature er nog steeds in verwerkt zit! Wat de camera betreft heb ik het gevoel dat de beeldkwaliteit nu nog beter is!
Het grote verschil tussen de twee toestellen zit 'm naar mijn mening in de achterkant van het toestel, de vorm en een aantal extra leuke feautures die de Note II niet heeft. Zo kun je met de S Pen (het pennetje dat in de onderkant van het toestel verwerkt zit) nu nog veel meer leuke tricks uithalen: snelle action memo's maken, je agenda invullen, foto's pimpen, een scrapbook maken: you name it! Ik heb zelfs de indruk dat er nog veel meer mogelijkheden zijn, waar ik nog niet helemaal achter ben. Hier ben ik nog wel even zoet mee!
Al bij al ben ik supertevreden met het toestel. Alle redenen waarom ik zo blij was met mijn Note II gelden hier nog steeds. Hierbij denk ik met name aan het enorme, heldere scherm, wat perfect is om foto's in een lekker formaat te bekijken en games een stuk levendiger maakt. Verder is het reactievermogen precies wat we van een Samsung gewend zijn: supersnel!
ENGLISH: Even though I already had the Note II, I was very curious what would make the Note III differ from his big brother. When I opened the package, one thing immediately caught my eye: the back of the phone. OMG. You can see it on the second picture, but in real life it looks even cooler! The back has some kind of leatherlook. I think it looks super chique and professional. I like it so much that I even consider not buying a phone cover. What a trade-off!
I've always been super happy with my previous Note. The reasons for this? The size of the screen, the operating system and the endless possibilities. I was surprised in a positive way when I discovered not that much changed. This made it very easy for me to adapt to my new gadget. Btw, I always really like it that when you unlock the device, "water circles" appear that make your background blurry. I'm happy that this feature is still there! Concerning the camera, I have the feeling the image quality is even better now!
The biggest differences between the two phones is in my opinion in the back of the device, the shape and some fun extra features that the Note II does not have. You can do so much more with the S Pen (the little pen that comes with the device) now: make fast action memo's, fill in your agenda, pimp your pictures by writing on it, make a scrapbook: you name it! I even have the impression that there are way more possibilites that I still need to discover. This will keep me sweetly occupied!
All in all, I'm very satisfied with the new Note III. All the reasons why I was so happy with my Note II are still there. Main reason here is without doubt the huge, clear screen which is perfectly suited to check out pictures and play games. Furthermore, the responsiveness of the device is exactly what we expect from a Samsung: super fast!
