Al maanden word ik ermee geconfronteerd, telkens wanneer ik uit de trein stap in station Eindhoven: de grootste Primark vestiging in de Benelux die "binnenkort" geopend zou worden. Afgelopen dinsdag 19 november was het eindelijk zover! De winkel zou officieel openen om 11 uur, maar ik was uitgenodigd om nog voordat de winkel openging een kijkje te nemen. Zodoende trok ik samen met vriendin/fotografe Charlotte richting het noorden to shop till we drop!
ENGLISH: For months, every time I came out of the train in Eindhoven, I've been confronted with the huge signs telling the biggest Primark store in the Benelux would open "soon". Last Tuesday the 19th of November the moment was finally there! The store would open at 11, but I was invited to check it out even earlier before the store officially opened. Therefore I took a train to the North with my friend/photographer Charlotte to shop till we drop!
Om kwart over negen konden we de winkel al binnen. Daar stond ons een heerlijk ontbijtbuffet te wachten. Ik had erg veel honger en genoot met volle teugen van alle muffins, het vers fruit en de broodjes eiersalade. Yummy! Daarna was het tijd voor een rondleiding door de winkel. De nieuwe vestiging telt maar liefst vier verdiepingen en is hiermee de grootste Primark van de Benelux.
Vervolgens kregen we de kans om te shoppen in de toen nog niet geopende winkel. In onze goodiebags zat een cadeaubon van 50 euro... OMG! Tijd om los te gaan. We hadden een halfuurtje voordat de winkel open ging voor het grote publiek. Gelukkig waren we tegen die tijd al in de pashokjes, want daarna volgde er een STORMLOOP. Madness! Het was dus echt een zege om van tevoren in de netjes opgeruimde Primark te kunnen shoppen. Een echt privilege! Uiteindelijk ging ik met twee bomvolle tassen naar huis. To be continued!
ENGLISH: At 9.15 we were already allowed to enter the store. A delicious breakfast buffet was waiting for us. I was super hungry, so I really enjoyed all the muffins, the fresh fruit and sandwiches with egg salad. Yummy! Afterwards it was time for a tour through the store. The new store has four floors, which makes it the biggest Primark in the Benelux.
Afterwards we got the chance to shop in the not-opened-yet store. In our goodiebags we found a 50 euros voucher... OMG! Time to get started. We had half an hour before the store officially opened for the public. Luckily we made it to the fitting rooms before, because afterwards a RUSH followed. Madness! It was so nice to have the chance to shop in the tidy, empty Primark. A true privilege! In the end I took the train back home with two huge bags. To be continued!
