Gisteren konden jullie het eerste deel van het Elite Model Look 2013 report al lezen. Echter was er afgelopen zondag zoveel te zien dat het vrijwel onmogelijk was om alles in één post te proppen. Vandaag is het tijd voor part #2. Y'all ready for this?
ENGLISH: Yesterday you could already read the first part of the Elite Model Look 2013 report. However, there was so much too see last Sunday that is was nearly impossible to put all the pictures in one post. Today it's time for part #2. Y'all ready for this?
Sinds dit jaar mochten voor het eerst ook mannen deelnemen aan de Elite Model Look 2013. Deze twee kerels mochten naar de volgende ronde. Congrats!
ENGLISH: Since this men could also participate in the Elite Model Look 2013, for the first time! These two dudes were lucky enough to make it to the next round. Congrats!
Nog een dame die ons meteen opviel was de 15-jarige Esmee uit Banholt. Ze staat al ingeschreven bij modellenbureau CJ Models, maar wilde het toch ook eens bij Elite proberen. Esmee's sterkste punt? Haar lieve uitstraling. Haar grote voorbeelden zijn Doutzen Kroes en Tyra Banks. Ze denkt dat haar doorzettingsvermogen en het feit dat ze niet van opgeven houdt haar wel eens verder zouden kunnen helpen in deze wedstrijd. Let's hope so!
ENGLISH: Another lady who stood out from the crowd was the 15 year old Esmee from Banholt. She already has a model agency (CJ Models), but wanted to try it at Elite as well. Her strength? Her sweet and innocent appearance. Her icons are Doutzen Kroes and Tyra Banks. She thinks that her perseverance and the fact that she doesn't like to give up could help her in this competition. Let's hope so!
Ook deze twee mooie meiden gingen door naar de volgende ronde!
De 18-jarige Isabelle uit Maastricht had al wel eerder wat shoots gedaan, maar nooit echt op professioneel niveau. En daar hoopt ze snel verandering in te brengen! Haar idolen zijn Heidi Klum en - ja hoor - Doutzen Kroes. Haar spontane karakter en flinke dosis doorzettingsvermogen zouden haar in de toekomst nog wel eens van pas kunnen komen...
De 15-jarige Sara uit Brabant had vandaag haar allereerste casting, en dat op de Elite Model Look 2013! Ze ging er eigenlijk zonder al te hoge verwachtingen naartoe en begreep er niets van toen de jury zei dat ze door was naar de volgende ronde. Ze had het totaal niet verwacht. Op de vraag wat haar uniek maakt antwoordt ze: "Mijn unieke, aparte koppie!"

The 18 year old Isabelle from Maastricht already did some shoots before, but never really professionally. However, she hopes to change that asap! Her icons are Heidi Klum and - yes, of course - Doutzen Kroes. Her spontaneous character and her perseverance could help her in the future...
The 15 year old Sara from Brabant had her very first casting today, and that at the Elite Model Look 2013! She didn't have too high expectations and was very surprised when the judges told her she made it to the next round. She really didn't expect that! When I asked her what makes her unique, she replied: "My unique, special face!"
Dit jaar mochten voor het eerst ook mannen deelnemen! Fotograaf Sander van Eye on Eye photography vergezelde me die dag om me te helpen met het interviewen en fotograferen van de modellen-in-spe. Na lang genoeg zeuren konden we hem er eindelijk van overtuigen dat hij zelf ook eens een poging zou moeten wagen. Zo gezegd, zo gedaan! En guess what... hij was nog door naar de volgende ronde ook! "Life is full of surprises!"
ENGLISH: This year was the first year that men could participate as well. Photographer Sander from Eye on Eye photography accompanied me that day to help me interviewing and photographing all the models-to-be. After enough whining we finally convinced him he should give it a try himself as well. No sooner said than done! And guess what... he made it to the next round! "Life is full of surprises!"
Voor alle meiden die niet vanaf de eerste keer door waren bestond er nog de kans om mee te doen voor de wildcard. Hierbij paradeerde iedereen rechtstreeks achter elkaar over de catwalk, zodat de jury nog eens een laatste vluchtige blik op alle kandidaten kon werpen. Normaal gezien zou er maar één meisje en één jongen gekozen worden, maar vanwege de grote opkomst werden er zelfs twee meiden gekozen! De vraag blijft natuurlijk: maar wie? *tromgeroffel*
ENGLISH: For all the girls who didn't make it through the first round from the first time, there was still the option to join the wildcard round. All the girls who participated walked the runway one after another, so that the judges could see all the candidates again. Normally, only one girl and one boy would be chosen, but because of the high attendance they even chose two girls! The question is still: but who? *drumroll*

Eén van deze twee lucky bastards was de 15-jarige Gia! Misschien herinner je haar nog uit het artikel van gisteren. Ze was het eerste meisje wat we die dag interviewden. Toen we haar 's middags tegenkwam vertelde ze ons dat ze jammer genoeg niet door was naar de volgende ronde. Helaas pindakaas! Maar ze zei dat ze nog wel ging proberen de wildcard binnen te halen. En ze doet het nog gewoon ook! Wie had dat ooit gedacht? Helemaal top, Gia, wij zijn trots!
